Diocese of Chalan Kanoa will Launch ‘Project Dad’

Owing to the success of ‘Project Mom’ last month in celebration of Mother’s Day, the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa is launching a parallel event: ‘Project Dad’ to celebrate Father’s Day this month.

Most of the husbands and fathers who accompanied their spouses to select and pick a dress during last month’s event expressed their desire for the diocese to launch a similar event for the fathers. Because of this the Diocesan Commission on Marriage and Family Life will once again coordinate the solicitation of dress shirts in all the parishes to be distributed for free to the fathers in our community.

We invite men to donate dress shirts or a pair of dress pants (still in good condition and ready to wear). All dress shirts and pants that are collected will be organize and set-up in Joeten-Daidai Social Hall on June 16th , the day before Father’s Day (June 17) from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, where fathers can choose and pick clothes, which they can then wear on Father’s Day. All clothes will be given on a first come first serve basis. Clothes that are not distributed will be donated to Karidat.

Donated clothes can be drop-off at the Curia Office in Chalan Kanoa or at your respective parishes. For more information please contact Ms. Glorybel Tan at 234-3000 ext. 136.
