Every Step Counted: Walkathon Proceeds Bring Hope to Cebu and the CNMI

We are overjoyed to announce the successful completion of our recent 5K Walkathon, a powerful display of the faithful walking together in solidarity and compassion!

The generosity of our participants, sponsors, and partners ensures that the funds raised will serve two critical missions, embodying the spirit of the 9th World Day of the Poor and the Jubilee of the Poor, whose theme this year is “You are my hope.”

Global and Local Relief

The proceeds generated from the walkathon will be divided to address urgent humanitarian needs both globally and locally:

Cebu Disaster Relief: A significant portion of the funds will be directed immediately to aid the victims of the devastating earthquake and floods in Cebu, Philippines. This urgent assistance will provide essential support and comfort to our brothers and sisters recovering from disaster.

CNMI Local Charities: A vital portion of the proceeds will be allocated to the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa charities dedicated to serving the poor and vulnerable right here in the CNMI. This ensures continuous support for those in our local community who rely on diocesan ministries.

Recognizing the Dignity of the Poor

By focusing our efforts on these critical relief areas, we live out the core purpose of the World Day of the Poor: to recognize the dignity of the poor, to encourage solidarity, and to advocate for policies that address the root causes of poverty.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event. Your commitment proves that when we walk together, we truly become a source of hope for those who need it most.
