Each month, the Vatican issues the Pope’s prayer intention, so that the worldwide church can be united in praying together. The prayer for January 2020 is as follows:
“We pray that Christians, followers of other religions, and all people of goodwill may promote peace and justice in the world.”
Solidarity with others is one of the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Mother Teresa challenged us to remember that “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”
This month let us pray with and for each other, conscious that we are “one body” with each other and that we rely on each other through love which binds us all together.
