Report on collection in aid of our brothers and sisters in Tonga

517 0

Following an underwater volcano eruption that triggered a tsunami that devastated Tonga, our diocese joined our Holy Father in praying for immediate relief to those directly affected by the calamity.  At the same time, second collections were done in all parishes on the weekend of January 29th and 30th.  All proceeds are earmarked to provide financial assistance to the people of Tonga through Caritas Tonga in the Catholic Diocese of Tonga.

Through everyone’s generosity the total amount we collected is $5,890.60

Si Yu’us Ma’ase.
