Better Catholics – Ep. 7: Vocation

2572 0

What makes a great vocation?

Everyone has a calling in life.  One may be called to the religious life, or the married life, or the single life.  Occupation-wise, one may be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, cleaner, carpenter, cashier, or any other occupation.  Would you equate having fame, fortune or influence to having a great vocation?  Or, is it when you find happiness and meaning in what you are doing, and being a source of life and light to others?

Finding one’s calling is directly related to the discovery of one’s God-given skills and talents, honing them, and then using them for the greater glory of God and the service of others.
