Journeying in Hope: A Reflection on the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa’s 2025 Year in Review

The Diocese of Chalan Kanoa is happy to present its 2025 Activities Video Highlights, a cinematic journey through a year defined by faith, service, and the profound grace of the Jubilee Year of Hope.

A Year of Jubilee Grace The video recap captures the essence of 2025—a year where our islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota stood united under the banner of “Pilgrims of Hope.” As the Jubilee theme song beautifully reminds us:

“Like a flame my hope is burning, may my song arise to you: Source of life that has no ending, on life’s path I trust in you.”

From the solemn opening of the Jubilee doors to the vibrant parish fiestas and the packed pews of the Simbang Gabi dawn masses, every frame serves as a testament to a community that is deeply rooted in the Gospel. We witnessed how “ev’ry nation, tongue, and people find a light within your Word,” and how we, as “scattered fragile sons and daughters,” found a home in the Son.

A Heartfelt Te Deum: Expressions of Gratitude

Above all, this video is a prayer of thanksgiving. We offer our most profound gratitude to the Lord, our firm foundation, for the countless blessings bestowed upon our islands this past year.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our shepherd, Most Rev. Romeo D. Convocar, D.D., whose vision and humble leadership guided us through this Jubilee journey. Our gratitude also goes to the Clergy of the Diocese, our Religious Sisters, and Lay Leaders whose tireless dedication sustains our spiritual life.

To our Church volunteers, workers, and the faithful community: your hands and hearts are the lifeblood of our parishes. Your service has been the proof that “our God is born in time,” and that through Him, we find the way.

Finally, we recognize our sponsors and donors. Your generosity provided the means to turn our missions into reality, ensuring that the message of Hope reached every corner of our Commonwealth.

As we transition into a new chapter of our faith, we invite the entire community to join in our prayer for the year 2026:

Heavenly Father, As we conclude the Jubilee Year of Hope, we thank You for the graces of the past and look forward with faith to the year ahead. In 2026, guide our Diocese of Chalan Kanoa to be a true family of God. Grant us the courage to serve the vulnerable, the humility to listen to Your Word, and the zeal to share the Gospel in our homes and workplaces. May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, and may the Holy Spirit empower us to build a community of love, justice, and mercy. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
