Devotee of the Divine Mercy St. Faustina Kowalkska will have an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of their devotion. Next Saturday, October 21, 2017, Fr. Joel delos Reyes will be in Saipan to conduct a workshop on the Life and Writings of St. Faustina Kowalska, the Apostle of the Divine Mercy.

The workshop will be held at Mt. Carmel Cathedral from 9 AM until 12 Noon.

Fr. Joel delos Reyes is a priest of the Archdiocese of Agana who had devoted his ministry to spread and propagate the devotion to the Divine Mercy. Every year he conducts workshop in Guam and even in the US mainland. He also organizes pilgrimages to the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Krakow, Poland. He is currently the Parish Administrator of San Vicente/San Roque Parish in Barrigada, Guam.

Fr. Joel planned to discuss the life and writings of St. Faustina based on her Diary. He will also speak about the different elements of the devotion to the Divine Mercy. Participants will also have a chance to share their personal experiences on the devotion.

The workshop is also an opportunity to pray together the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy and to venerate the Sacred Relic of St. Faustina. Divine Mercy Sunday is normally celebrated every Second Sunday of Easter as instituted by St. John Paul II but this workshop is an opportunity for the faithful to reflect more deeply on the meaning and value of the Divine Mercy in our daily lives.

Fr. Jesse Reyes who is the Spiritual Director of the Nanan Kilisyano of the diocese is organizing the event and is assisted by Fr. Jason Granado of San Vicente Parish. “Our Nanan Kilisyano always is at the forefront of any devotion to Our Lady and the Divine Mercy throughout the year. This event is a very good opportunity for our diocese since it has been years since the last time Fr. Joel conducted a Divine Mercy Workshop in Saipan”, commented Fr. Jesse.

Everyone is invited to join and participate in this workshop and for more information, please contact Fr. Jesse at 483-7254 or Fr. Jason at 989-3054.
