SOCIAL JUSTICE AND OUTREACH

Goal Statement
To speak out as one voice and act on pressing social justice issues in the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa

Objective
1.1 Coordinated Action: To establish a Commission on Social Justice in order to coordinate ongoing action and responses to social justice and outreach priorities by January 2018.
2.1 To provide one (1) outreach education on Catholic social teachings and values the minds and hearts to at least 15 people from each respective parish to be moved to action on pressing social justice issues at the end of December 2018.
3.1 To involve ten (10) people from the Church leadership and groups in at least two (2) seminars on prominent issues on social concerns [such as substance abuse/addiction, impact of immigration, and homelessness,] that are impacting families in our Diocese by the end of December 2018.

VOCATION

Goal Statement
To promote and encourage baptized Catholics to discover a calling to the priestly and religious life in their encounter and relationship with the Lord.

Objective
1. There will be an increased number of candidates from within the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa by 1% for the priesthood, permanent deacons, and religious life by the end of December 2022.
