EVANGELIZATION AND FAITH FORMATION

To proclaim the gospel of Jesus to non-practicing, baptized Catholics.

Objective:
1.1 There will be an increase of at least 5% on the number of people receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation in all parishes by the end of 2022.

Goal Statement #2 – Evangelization
To proclaim the gospel to non-baptized persons.

Objective
2.1 To receive at least twenty (20) non-baptized, adult persons and or children by the end of 2022.

Goal Statement #1 Faith Formation
To promote programs to help all levels of churchgoers to become genuine disciples of Christ.

Objectives
1.1 To increase by 5% the number of Young-adult Catholics and their families in worship and fellowship within the Church by the end of 2022.

1.2 To provide at least 5% of Adult Catholics an opportunity to grow in understanding and personal assimilation of their faith in Jesus and learn to share that faith with others by the end of 2022.

1.3 To provide all key lay ministers in the parishes an opportunity for faith formation in mind and heart by the end of 2022.

1.4  To minister to the spiritual needs of at least 10% of our elderlies by 2022.

Goal Statement #2 Faith Formation
To center all catechetical endeavors in the forming and deepening of one’s relationship with Christ.

Objective
2.1 To cultivate a learning environment of love, respect, and purpose by 50% of the CCD Program Coordinators in which the power of the Gospel is realized and the truth of the Catholic teaching is understood and embraced from within by the end of 2022.

2.2 To provide two (2) formation program each year for CCD Program Coordinators and Teachers by the end 2022.

 

LITURGY

Goal Statement #1 Liturgy
To ensure all parishes are faithful to the liturgical rites in accordance with the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific (CEPAC).

Objectives
1.1 Designate up to twelve (12) individuals to form the Worship Committee by January 2018.

1.2 Review, develop and implement by 100% the liturgical guidelines of the Roman Catholic Church’s Celebration of the Eucharist by the end of June 2018.

1.3 Develop and implement uniform guidelines by 100% for Sacraments and Liturgical Seasons by January 2019.

1.4 Review and identify at least ten (10) liturgical gestures for conformance and appropriateness for worship by May 2019.

1.5 Train all 13 parish ministries and clergy members on the liturgical guidelines of the Roman Catholic Church’s Celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacraments by end of August 2019.

Goal Statement #2 Liturgy
To preserve and ensure the solemnity and sacredness of liturgical formation and service of lay ministers.

Objectives
2.1 To establish appropriate liturgical guidelines specific to Lectors, Music/Choir, Altar Servers, Environment & Art, Commentators, Hospitality, Ushers, Extraordinary Communion Ministers, Sacristans and all other liturgical ministries by May 2019.

2.2 Train all members of the clergy and lay ministers on the liturgical formation and service of lay ministers by August 2019.

Goal Statement #3 Liturgy
To instill deeper unity and promote the inculturation of the faith in conformity with the liturgical norms of the US Conference of Catholic Bishop (USCCB) and the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific (CEPAC).

Objectives
3.1 Implement/administer liturgical celebrations in at least four (4) different languages at the Mount Carmel Cathedral Parish by December 2019.

3.2 Identify and structure placement of popular pieties, religious groups and associations, and traditional feast practices to retain solemnity of liturgical services and ceremonies May 2019.

3.3 Train all clergy members and lay ministers on proper liturgical practices and cultural traditions consistent with the liturgical norms of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific (CEPAC) by August 2019.
