Better Catholics – Ep. 28:  El Shaddai (Catholic Charismatic Movement)

2996 0

Formally known as El Shaddai DWXI Prayer Partners Fellowship International, El Shaddai is a Catholic charismatic renewal movement based in the Philippines.  It counts up to 8 million members in the country alone, with an additional 2 to 3 million members among the Filipino diaspora across the globe.

The El Shaddai community here in the CNMI was recognized by the Manila central office back in 1994, and then by the late Bishop Tomas Camacho as diocesan association of the faithful in 1998.  Most of the members are Filipino contract workers.  But membership is not exclusive to just Filipinos as everyone is invited to join and participate.

Throughout the years, our diocese has been blessed with the ministry of El Shaddai members particularly in their service as Eucharistic ministers and choir members.  They are most visible at San Antonio Parish and Mt. Carmel Cathedral.

Experience the power and glory of God through the community’s different kind of worship by joining their prayer service every Sunday, 4:00 P.M. at San Antonio Church.
