ANNOUNCEMENT: Thanks to generous donations from Circle K staff and personnel in Guam, Karidat is able to offer an assortment of CLOTHING and miscellaneous items to needy persons in our community.

If you or someone you know is in need of clothing or various household goods, please visit our Main Office at the Sister Remedios Community Center in Chalan Kanoa during regular business hours or call 234-6981 for more information.

Our thanks to our brothers and sisters of Circle K in Guam who have kept the needs of the people in Saipan in their minds and hearts, and who recognize that these needs are enduring and do not have an expiration date.

REMINDER: Karidat offers a range of services and programs to benefit community members who face a variety of needs arising from personal or family problems, external circumstances or interpersonal conflicts. We advocate for those whose rights or persons are being restricted or abused, and for just social policy in our community.

Please do not hesitate to visit us to find out if you or someone you know might benefit from our services (income qualifications apply to most of these services, though not for all):

FOOD PANTRY: Distributes non-perishable food; operates during regular business hours but it is best to call ahead of time.

CLOTHING CLOSET: Offers donated clothing and household items to those in need and unable to afford those costs

HOUSING: one month rental assistance, as funding allows.

VICTIM ADVOCACY PROGRAM: Provides advocacy and support for victims of crime through: crisis counseling, case management, court accompaniment, information and referral, assistance with filing of Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) for an order of protection.

VICTIM HOTLINE: 24-hr crisis phone line for victims of crime, especially victims of domestic and sexual violence. Referral for other services.  The Hotline is an anonymous and confidential service for victims on Saipan, Tinian and Rota.

DISASTER SERVICES: In the aftermath of a disaster,Karidat works with community partners to distribute relief supplies and to connect disaster victims with recovery and resource acquisition.

GUMA ESPERANSA: “House of Hope” is the sole shelter in the CNMI which serves victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The shelter provides: sanctuary, counseling and advocacy for victims and their children. (Shelter services are free and confidential and are available to all regardless of citizenship, ethnicity or immigration status.)
