The 67th Miss Universe beauty pageant competition was held on December 17, 2018, Wednesday, in Bangkok, Thailand, with beauties from 94 countries all over the world vying for the prestigious crown. Miss Catriona Gray from the Philippines bested all others to win the title.

It’s interesting to note the one and same question asked by host Steve Harvey to the three finalists namely; Miss Sthefany Gutierez of Venezuela, Miss Tamaryn Green of South Africa, and Catriona Gray from the Philippines, and the question was; “ What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your life and how would you apply in your time as Miss Universe? The best and winning answer came from Miss Catriona Gray of the Philippines when she said; “ I’ve always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to look for the beauty in the faces of the children, and to be grateful. I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining and to assess where I could give something, where I could teach as a spokesman. If I could teach also people to be grateful, we could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow or foster, and children would have smile on the face.”

Miss Catriona Gray looks for the beauty in life, foster where negativity could not prosper and put smile on the faces of children. ” Such beautiful answer coveted for her the Miss Universe crown.

Could you recall a “ winning answer”  you give to some questions or comments posed to you though sometimes are negative and nasty, but you keep your composure and virtue? When you deal it with professionalism and not go down to the level of adopting a “sword to a sword” behavior, you’re a winner.

Let’s look for beauty in every person no matter how unattractive externally, for inside is the soul made in the image of God. For all know that within the physical expression of an impoverished man or woman is a merciful and forgiving heart,  a strong faith in God and a righteous soul.

“ We could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow or foster“, is another beautiful segment spoken by Catriona Gray. In other words, discard negativity bur have positive approach to life, dealing situations courageously and responsibly. Put smile in the faces of children with gifts and tenderness doused with loving care especially this Christmas.

On the flip side, someone said that everything improves when you decide to love and care, to defeat the evil out there, you must first defeat the evil in yourself. One of the hardest decisions in life is choosing whether to walk away or try harder. Struggles are required in order to survive in life because in order to stand up, you got to know what falling down is like. Sometimes God breaks your heart to save your soul. At any given moment you have the power to say: This is not how the story is going to end. Don’t miss out on something that could be great just because it could also be difficult. Amen on that folks!!
