Editors Note: NorthStar wanted to introduce our readers to Mrs. Margaret C. DelaCruz and the Commision on Liturgy who will be having their regular column in our diocesan paper every week dedicated to Liturgy.)
Welcome to the section on Liturgy in our NorthStar.
Starting this Sunday, September 8th, on the Birthday of our Blessed Virgin Mary, the Commission on Worship with the support and approval of Bishop Ryan Jimenez will be having a section on the NorthStar to provide and share information, address issues and share various topics as it relates to LITURGY.
In the Diocesan Pastoral Plan that was established in 2018 through 2022, established the Ministry Priorities in the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, in which LITURGY is one of the Ministry Priorities. The Diocesan Pastoral Plan provides three goals for LITURGY which are: (1) to ensure all parishes are faithful to the liturgical rites in accordance with USCCB and CEPAC; (2) to preserve and ensure the solemnity and sacredness of liturgical sacredness of liturgical formation and service of lay ministers; and (3) to instill deeper unity and promote the inculturation of the faith in conformity with the liturgical norms of the USCCB and CEPAC.
In the coming series of our LITURGY section, the Commission on Worship will be sharing information on the different guidelines that either have been approved and promulgated or are in the process of review that will eventually lead to approval and promulgation.
The Worship Commission would like to hear from the community what would be areas that they would like the Worship Commission to address in this section. Communication can be made to the Chairperson on the Commission on Worship, Mrs. Margaret DelaCruz through email at adigsaipan@gmail.com or phone contact at 285-6574.
May God Bless Us All!
