This weekend the world marks the annual International Day of Peace which recognizes the efforts of those who work for peace. It is also meant to be a day of personal or political “ceasefire.”
Let us be channels of peace in our homes and in our communities.
Let us make efforts to forge peace between people with differences or divisions.
Let us work for peace between nations and in our world.
Our Lady of Peace, pray for us.
Prayer for Peace in Our Family
Lord Jesus, be with my family. Grant us Your peace and harmony, an end to conflict and division. Gift us with the compassion to better understand each other, the wisdom and love to assist each other, and the trust and patience to live peacefully together. Grant that, through the intercession of Your mother, Mary, and St. Joseph our family too may become a holy family, accepting each other, working together in unity, and selflessly dedicated to one another and to You. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, who are called the Prince of Peace, who are yourself our peace and reconciliation, who so often said, “Peace to you,” grant us peace. Make all men and women witnesses of truth, justice, and brotherly love. Banish from their hearts whatever might endanger peace. Enlighten our rulers that they may guarantee and defend the great gift of peace. May all peoples of the earth becomes as brothers and sisters. May longed-for peace blossom forth and reign always over us all.
