Someone shared the story about a man who was asked why he talks to himself. his reply was: “ Why do I talk to myself? That’s because sometimes I need to hear an expert’s advice.”
Do you need an expert’s advice? ask Jesus. For food, he gives us an expert’s advice. he said: “ I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” ( Jn. 6: 51). Tired, worried and wearied, stressed and depressed about many things? here’s Jesus advice to you: “ Come to me all you who are weary and find life burdensome, and I will give you rest”. ( Mt. 11:28-30). Is there something disturbing you internally like unknown fear that deprives you of sleep and peace? here’s an expert’s’ advice: “ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. I do not give you as the world gives. do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. “. ( Jn. 14:27). Some have compulsion for money and wealth to the detriment of their spiritual values and their soul. Jesus said:: “ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” ( Mt. 6:21). For those who judge others by mere external impression without solid basis. Our lord said: “ do not judge and you will not be judged: do not condemn and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven”. ( Lk. 6: 37-38). For the greedy, Jesus says: “ Take care, and be on guard against all covetousness; for one’s life does not consist of his possessions.” ( Lk. 12: 15).
We entered this world but when and how we shall exit only God knows. They say it’s noble that we die for someone or something. noble still if we live for some- one or something. Focusing on our problems will ruin our day and bring us down. Focus on our potentials and possibilities and they will lift us up.
Don’t you know that when you pray you are talking to someone who loves you, forgives you, understands you and gives you hope. he is Jesus, the expert. do you know who else is an expert? Mary, we pray to her for she is the expert of Jesus.On the ip side, someone said that your actions reflect who you are. nothing in this word is permanent including your joys and sorrows, triumphs and de- feats. You don’t need to be bright, attractive or rich to make a difference in people’s lives. Just be loving and caring. What defines us is how we rise up after our fall, bounce back after our failure. If you love what you have, that’s saves you from the illusion of grandeur. If you cannot be positive, then at least be quiet. amen on that folks!!
St. Faustina wrote Jesus’ words; “ as often as you want to make Me happy, speak to the world about My great and unfathomable mercy.” ( diary no. 164).
Pray the divine Mercy every 3 p.m. daily pray the Chaplet of Mercy for peace in our families and in the world.
