At Easter we reflect on fresh starts. In Christ, we all get a chance for a new beginning, to throw off old sins and start over.
Many of our clients at Karidat come to us emotionally or physically battered. We do our best to lift people up and to help them get back on their feet. Some are in financial distress, some need to flee abusive relationships, others need to get back on track after getting in trouble with the law.
It is our mission to treat everyone with respect according to their God-given dignity, and to meet them where they are.
Having a second (or third) chance at life after tragedy, abuse or past mistakes is often the difference between living a life of despair or of hope.
This is the core of the Resurrection: to give hope to people in despair. It is Good News for all of us!
