The Office of Religious Education will formally begin the CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) Registration for Catechetical Year 2019-2020 for all parishes in Saipan, Rota, and Tinian on August 15 and ending on September 30.
The Sacramental Preparation is very important in the life of the Church for it is not just to provide our young people with religious instruction, but a formation that requires preparation and readiness to be part of the community of faith learners. We want them to experience the sense of belongingness which springs from getting involved in the Liturgical Life of the Church.
This year, we would like to implement policies that will help them to be truly prepared in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation particularly the Sacraments of Penance (Confession), Holy Communion and Confirmation. A Diocesan CCD brochure (including the schedule of classes) will be available in all the parishes when CCD registration begins.
We encourage parents to consider registering their children to the CCD Program as early as possible so that inquiries to the new policies will be responded appropriately by the Pastors and CCD Coordinators/teachers before the start of the classes. Please be reminded of the following requirements: BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE and $10 REGISTRATION FEE to defray the cost of the instructional materials throughout the year.
