Better Catholics – Ep. 2: Synod on Synodality

Pope Francis announced that a Synod of Bishops will convene at the Vatican in 2023. Its theme will be “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”. In preparation for this gathering, he had asked each diocese around the world to listen to the voices of its people including those who are marginalized or may have fallen away from the Church. The Diocese of Chalan Kanoa launched its Diocesan Synod on Synodality last December 8, 2021 to start its two-year process of listening and dialogue with each and every Catholic in the CNMI. On this episode, the panel introduces this new concept to our listeners. Over the next year we hope to release follow-up videos that will delve deeper into this process leading to a better understanding and participation by everyone.
