CATECHISTS CHALLENGED TO SERVE IN HUMILITY

850 0

September 23 was the designated date for the commissioning of the catechists in the different parishes following the commissioning of the Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators in the CCD Program last week. This is to mark the beginning of the CCD School Year 2018-2019 in the Diocese. Inspired by the gospel message of service in humility, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”

PRAYER OF BLESSING

With your fatherly blessing, Lord,
strengthen these servants of yours
in their resolve to dedicate themselves as catechists.
Grant that they will strive to share with others
what they themselves derive from pondering your Word and studying the Church’s teaching.
And let them gladly join those they teach
in honoring and serving your name.
